“500 wickets is not a matter of joke” :Sourav Ganguly calls Ashwin a ‘All Time Great’.

India and England are set to continue their five-match Test series with the fifth and final Test at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium (HPCA) in Dharamsala from March 7. This match holds significance for England, as India, under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, has already secured an unassailable lead by winning the second, third, and fourth Tests in Visakhapatnam, Rajkot, and Ranchi, respectively.

Throughout this series, there have been several memorable moments, with one of the most notable being the achievement of veteran all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin. Ashwin recently joined the elite club of bowlers with 500 Test wickets while representing India. He achieved this milestone during the Test match in Rajkot, where he also surpassed former Indian spinner Anil Kumble’s record for the most Test wickets at home for India, now standing at 354 wickets. Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly has praised Ashwin’s remarkable performances, acknowledging him as one of the all-time greats.

Ganguly on (Revzportz) said “All-time great, all-time great offspring. 500 wickets is not a matter of joke. Then you have Jadeja, the best all-rounder at the moment. Bat and ball in these conditions.”
