Joburg Super Kings (JSK) captain Faf du Plessis once again demonstrated his prowess as one of the game’s premier fielders by making a remarkable catch, this time dismissing MI Cape Town (MICT) batter Dewald Brevis. MICT had surged to a formidable 200-run opening partnership, and Brevis was tasked with sustaining the momentum.
Facing a delivery from Lizaad Williams with mid-on and mid-off positioned up in the ring, the young player attempted to strike the ball down the ground. Despite not hitting the ball cleanly, Brevis managed to clear mid-off, but Faf du Plessis, displaying exceptional athleticism, retreated and executed a stunning catch with a last-ditch dive and an outstretched right hand.
It was a testament to Du Plessis’ athleticism and he was understandably pumped up after taking the catch.
