Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has heaped praise on Rinku Singh for his outstanding batting performances in T20I cricket. Following his match-winning displays for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2023, the left-handed batsman earned a spot in the Indian team and has continued to showcase an aggressive and consistent style of play. As a result of his impressive form, Rinku Singh is considered a strong contender for a spot in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 squad.

Yuvraj Singh, expressing his admiration for the emerging talent, likened Rinku Singh to himself, highlighting him as the best left-handed batter in the country at present. The 42-year-old cricket veteran commended Rinku’s ability to play smartly under pressure and his strategic understanding of when to launch an attack.

Yuvraj Singh said “He is the best left-hander in the Indian squad right now. He reminds me of myself. Rinku can score runs under pressure and knows when to hit big shots. He is a match-winner. I don’t want him to feel pressure but he has the talent and skills to do what I used to for the Indian team. He can deliver at the No.5 or 6.”
