England announces playing XI for 2nd Test, Jimmy Anderson to comeback and Shoaib Bashir to make his debut.

The England men’s cricket team has finalized its playing XI for the upcoming 2nd Test against India in Vishakhapatnam, commencing on February 2. Shoaib Bashir will mark his Test debut in Vishakhapatnam, stepping in for the injured Jack Leach.

Leach sustained a knee injury while fielding during the 1st Test in Hyderabad. Despite bowling short spells in the first innings and delivering 10 overs in the second, he managed to secure just one wicket of Shreyas Iyer. The 32-year-old spinner also opted out of Wednesday’s training session.

In addition to Bashir’s inclusion, England has made another alteration, with James Anderson coming in for Mark Wood. Wood, who served as the sole seamer in Hyderabad, failed to claim any wickets across both innings, concluding with figures of 25-2-62-0 for the match.
