(Watch) Rohit Sharma gets dismissed by debutant Shoaib Bashir in 2nd IND vs ENG Test.

England off-spinner Shoaib Bashir made an immediate impact in the second Test against India in Vishakapatnam on February 2. Making his debut, Bashir swiftly removed the opposition captain, Rohit Sharma, in his fourth over, providing England with their first breakthrough after they were asked to bowl first.

Replacing the injured Jack Leach in the lineup, Bashir was brought into the attack in the 12th over following the opening spell by Joe Root and James Anderson.

India’s opening duo, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma, started cautiously on a surface that seemed benign. They navigated through the initial hour of play, placing a premium on their wickets. However, Rohit’s innings came to an end with a soft dismissal.

Here is the wicket of Rohit Sharma Today:

Bashir, bowling from around the wicket, maintained pressure on the right-handed batsman, restricting his scoring opportunities. Rohit attempted a delicate shot to a delivery turning into him but only managed to edge the ball to Ollie Pope positioned at leg slip. Rohit departed after scoring 14 runs from 41 deliveries, failing to hit any boundaries as he struggled against Anderson and the spinners.
