In July 2024, the Indian cricket team is set to embark on a tour to Zimbabwe to engage in a five-match T20I series against Sikandar Raza’s squad. The entirety of the series will unfold at the esteemed Harare Sports Club located in the capital city of Harare.

The scheduling of this bilateral series follows closely after the conclusion of the 2024 T20 World Cup, which kicks off on June 2 with the final match slated for June 29. Following their participation in the prestigious global tournament, the Indian team, commonly referred to as the ‘Men in Blue’, will make their way to Zimbabwe for this significant cricketing engagement, marking their return to bilateral contests with the African nation after a two-year hiatus.

The announcement of the series itinerary was made on Tuesday, February 6, jointly by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC). The matches are scheduled to take place on July 6, 7, 10, 13, and 14, promising an exciting showdown between the two cricketing nations.

In a statement released by Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC), it was revealed that the series came to fruition through constructive dialogues and deliberations with the BCCI, signifying the collaborative efforts between the cricketing bodies involved.

Recalling their previous encounter in Zimbabwe during 2022, India emerged victorious, sweeping the host nation in a three-match ODI series. Notably, Shubman Gill’s stellar performance, including his maiden ODI century, earned him the prestigious Player of the Series accolade as he clinched the top spot in the run-scoring charts during the tour.
