IPL 2024 schedule out, RCB to face CSK in opener of the season at Chepauk on 22 nd March.

On Thursday, February 22, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) unveiled the schedule for IPL 2024, set to commence on March 22. The defending champions Chennai Super Kings will kick off the tournament against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the season opener at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on March 22, with the match scheduled to begin at 8:00 pm IST.

Considering the impending Lok Sabha elections, BCCI released the fixtures for only the first 21 matches, spanning over 15 days from March 22 to April 7. Notably, Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals will headline the second match and the first double-header of IPL 2024. They will clash on March 23 at 3:30 pm IST in Mohali. However, Delhi Capitals will play their first two home games in an alternate venue, as the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) informed BCCI of their inability to prepare the stadium in time for IPL 2024 due to hosting the final for WPL on March 17. DC’s first two home games will be held in Vizag.
