Abdul Samad Is Hero For SRH In A Thriller, RR Suffers A Heartbreak.
SRH much like DC, has kept their hopes alive for a spot in the playoffs after securing their fourth victory of the season. In pursuit of a daunting target, the opening pair of Anmolpreet Singh and Abhishek Sharma provided a solid start by scoring 51 runs in quick succession. Sharma continued to impress with a half-century while Rahul Tripathi played a supporting role. Heinrich Klaasen also made a valuable contribution, scoring 26 runs in just 12 balls. Although they lost a few wickets towards the end, Glenn Phillips took Kuldip Yadav to the cleaners by hitting 22 runs off the first four balls before being dismissed. With just five runs needed off the final delivery, Abdul Samad was caught at long-off, but he was fortunate that the ball was declared a no-ball. Despite needing a boundary off the last ball to win, Samad managed to smash a maximum and clinch victory for his team.
