ICC Brings Changes To Some To Rules In The Game.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced some of changes in the cricket rules.

Major rule changes by ICC should be followed from June 1st and they are as follows

1) Helmet protection would mandatory for international cricket for the following high injury risk positions and situations : (1) when batters are facing fast bowlers, (2) when wicketkeepers are standing up to the stumps, and (3) when fielders are close to the batter in front of the wicket.

2) Runs scored on Free Hit would be counted: Any type of runs scored on a Free Hit when the ball hits the stumps will count as runs scored, along with the other runs scored from a free hit. Same instance was occurred during India vs Pakistan in the 2022 T20 World Cup, in the 20th over, in the free-hit, Ball hit on the stumps & then Karthik Virat Kohli ran 3 and it was counted as byes. Now with the new rule by ICC, it will be counted as runs scored by the batter.

3)Soft Signal Indication Stops :Umpires will no longer be required to give a soft signal while referring decisions to the TV umpires.
