“It happened against lesser-quality bowling”, Sunil Gavaskar slams Bazball.

Sunil Gavaskar, the former Indian cricket captain, has expressed his criticism of Bazball after England’s consecutive losses in the first two Tests of the Ashes 2023 series. Gavaskar, 73 years old, emphasized that the T20 style of play is inadequate when facing a high-quality bowling lineup consisting of Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, and Nathan Lyon. His comments come in the wake of Australia’s victories over England by two wickets and 43 runs, respectively, in the ongoing five-match series.

In his column for Mid-Day, Sunil Gavaskar wrote “As for Bazball, forget it. It happened against lesser-quality bowling, but against a top-class Australian attack it’s back to good old grinding batting and not T20 shots. Test cricket is, after all, Test cricket.”
