Justin Langer likely to succeed Andy Flower as Lucknow Supergiants as head coach.
Former Australian cricketer and head coach, Justin Langer, is currently the leading candidate for the position of head coach at the IPL franchise, Lucknow Super Giants. Following the conclusion of the IPL 2023, the contract of the previous head coach, Andy Flower, came to an end, opening up the opportunity for Langer to potentially take over.
According to a recent report by Cricbuzz, the management of Lucknow Super Giants has reached out to Langer while he is currently working as a commentator for the ongoing Ashes series in England. Although there has been no official confirmation from either party, it is believed that the franchise based in Lucknow is keen on appointing Langer as the successor to Andy Flower.
Langer has an impressive track record, having guided the Australian cricket team to their first-ever T20 World Cup victory in 2021. Additionally, he played a crucial role in Australia’s dominant 4-0 Ashes triumph. Langer’s success extends to the domestic circuit as well, where he has achieved great results in the Big Bash League, winning three titles with the Perth Scorchers.
