In the ongoing first Test match between Team India and the West Indies at the Windsor Park in Dominica, openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma displayed their batting prowess by scoring half-centuries. The opening pair of Jaiswal and Sharma built a solid partnership, laying a strong foundation for Team India to secure a substantial lead on Day 2. The Indian batsmen aimed to capitalize on their strong start and further extend their advantage over the opposition.

Earlier in the match, Indian bowlers R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja exhibited excellent bowling performances. Ashwin claimed a five-wicket haul, while Jadeja contributed with three wickets, restricting the West Indies to a total of 150 runs. Alick Athanaze was the top-scorer for the hosts with a resilient knock of 47 runs off 99 balls.
