Moeen Ali says “England are a better team with James Anderson in there”, after he returns into the side for 4th Test.

Following a string of disappointing performances, James Anderson was given a rest for the third Ashes Test at Edgbaston. Mark Wood, who filled in for him, delivered an outstanding performance, raising questions about Anderson’s place in the team for the remaining two matches of the series. However, the team management has displayed confidence in Anderson by including him in the playing XI for the fourth Test at Old Trafford, Manchester.

Speaking about Anderson’s return to the squad, all-rounder Moeen Ali expressed his delight, acknowledging Anderson’s potential to be a formidable force. Moeen emphasized that England is a stronger team with Anderson’s presence and expects the seasoned fast bowler to make a comeback and aid the home team in leveling the series after the fourth match.

Moeen Ali said โ€œThere’s no doubt England are a better team with James Anderson in there. In the two games he played I actually thought he bowled really well in both of them. I think he’s been a bit unfortunate with catches and things probably not going his way. Being the best bowler England have ever had and being a legend of a player and a great guy as well, it’s great to see him have the opportunity to play, it could be his last one, and hopefully, he bowls well and gets us the win.โ€
