S. Badrinath takes jab at BCCI and Team management for ignoring Sanju Samson.

Former Indian cricketer S. Badrinath has expressed his displeasure at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for excluding Sanju Samson from the playing XI in the first ODI against the West Indies. The match took place at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on July 27, Thursday.

The decision to pick Ishan Kishan over Samson for the opening game of the three-match series came as a surprise to many. Sanju Samson, has an impressive track record in ODIs, amassing 330 runs from 11 matches with an outstanding average of 66.00 and a strike rate of 104.76. Despite his excellent performances, he has often found himself consistently overlooked for selection in the team.

During the match, an intriguing sight caught everyone’s attention when Suryakumar Yadav was spotted wearing a jersey with ‘Samson’ printed on the back. This gesture seemingly showcased support and solidarity for the sidelined cricketer.

Taking to Twitter, S. Badrinath shared the image of Suryakumar sporting Samson’s name on his jersey and took a sarcastic jibe at the BCCI for their decision.
