Imran Khan gets arrested will be sentenced to three years in prison.

Former Pakistan cricket legend and former Prime Minister, Imran Khan, has faced legal trouble as he was arrested and sentenced to three years in prison, along with a fine of 1,00,000 PKR. The trial court in Islamabad found him guilty of corrupt practices in the Toshakhana case.

According to the court, Imran Khan provided an incorrect declaration of his assets and liabilities during his tenure as Pakistan’s Prime Minister, which was submitted to the Election Commission of Pakistan for the 2020-21 period. As a result, he has been convicted under Section 174 (Offence of corrupt practices) of the Election Act.

This development has garnered significant attention as Imran Khan is not only a renowned cricketer but also a prominent political figure in Pakistan’s history. The legal proceedings surrounding his case have attracted public interest and scrutiny.

The Humayun Dilawar told “He has been found guilty of corrupt practices by hiding the benefits he accrued from the national exchequer wilfully and intentionally. He cheated while providing information of gifts he obtained from Toshakhana, which later proved to be false and inaccurate.His dishonesty has been established beyond doubt.”
