“The news that has been making rounds about my social media earnings is not true”-Virat Kohli clarifies rumors regarding social media earnings.
Amidst recent reports suggesting Virat Kohli’s substantial social media earnings, the Indian cricket stalwart has taken to clarify the situation. It was widely circulated that the former India skipper commands an impressive fee of ₹11.45 crore per Instagram post. In response, Kohli has refuted these claims, labeling them as mere rumors and stating the figures are untrue.
Addressing the situation, Kohli expressed gratitude for the blessings in his life while dismissing the exaggerated figures circulating in the media. While acknowledging his successful career and various endorsements, Kohli emphasized that he does not charge the reported amount for each Instagram post.
Kohli on ‘X’ wrote “While I am grateful and indebted to all that I’ve received in life, the news that has been making rounds about my social media earnings is not true”.
The origins of this rumor can be traced back to StockGro, a Bengaluru-based trading and investing company, which released a comprehensive overview of Kohli’s assets, earnings, and investments in June. Relying on sources such as Forbes, DNA, MPL, and Startuptalky, the company purportedly revealed Kohli’s net worth to be a staggering INR 1050 crores. According to their information, the report stated that Kohli’s compensation for each Instagram post stood at an astonishing ₹8.9 crore, with an additional ₹2.5 crore for X (formerly Twitter). These figures accumulated to a grand total of ₹11.5 crore in projected social media income.
