The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially revealed the 15-member squad for the highly anticipated 2023 ODI World Cup. This much-anticipated cricket extravaganza is scheduled to commence on October 5 in India, with defending champions England facing off against New Zealand in the opening match at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) had previously instructed all ten participating teams to finalize and submit their squads to the governing body by September 5. Accordingly, the All India Senior Menโs Selection Committee has unveiled their 15-member squad, comprising the talented individuals who have earned their spots in this prestigious tournament.
Rohit Sharma will continue to lead the team, with Hardik Pandya serving as his deputy for this marquee ICC event. Interestingly, Team India’s World Cup squad closely mirrors the lineup of players currently engaged in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 campaign.
Several key players, such as Jasprit Bumrah, KL Rahul, and Shreyas Iyer, who have successfully recovered from injuries, will be representing India in the ODI World Cup following their inclusion in the squad for the Asia Cup.
