“Yuzvendra Chahal should have been here”, says Harbhajan Singh as the spinner gets ignored for Australia ODI Series and World Cup 2023.

As the ODI World Cup 2023 approaches, the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) has unveiled its squad for the prestigious event. Led by Rohit Sharma, the Indian team boasts an array of cricketing stars. However, one notable omission from the squad that has been widely discussed in recent weeks is star spinner Yuzvendra Chahal.

Chahal, who has been a key player for Team India in white-ball cricket and has consistently delivered strong performances in franchise cricket, was not included in India’s World Cup squad. Addressing this omission, former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh has raised questions and speculated on the possible reasons behind Chahal’s absence. Harbhajan suggested that either Chahal may have had a dispute with someone or made certain comments, as there don’t seem to be any obvious cricketing reasons for his exclusion from the Indian squad.

Harbhajan Singh said “Yuzvendra Chahal should have been here. He has not been given an opportunity. It is beyond my understanding. Either he has fought with someone or he has said something to someone, I don’t know. If we talk only about skill, his name should have been there in this team because a lot of Team India players are resting.”
