(Watch) Unusual moment occur as Bangladesh calls back Ish Sodhi after getting him out at non striker end.

In the second ODI between Bangladesh and New Zealand in Dhaka on Saturday, September 23, Bangladesh pacer Hasan Mahmud executed a brilliant run-out of New Zealand’s Ish Sodhi at the non-striker’s end. Sodhi attempted to back up from the non-striker’s end in an effort to take strike, but Mahmud displayed exceptional awareness by dislodging the bails, leaving the leg-spinner short of his crease. Under the new ICC rules, this was a legitimate dismissal, and Sodhi was initially asked to depart from the field.

However, after some deliberation with the on-field umpire, Bangladesh’s captain Liton Das opted to withdraw the appeal and called Ish Sodhi back to continue his innings. This heartwarming gesture led to a jubilant moment as Sodhi and Hasan Mahmud shared a warm embrace on the field.
