Harbhajan Singh has expressed his belief that the dynamic batsman, Suryakumar Yadav, should be a regular inclusion in India’s lineup throughout the 2023 ODI World Cup. According to Harbhajan, Suryakumar possesses the exceptional ability to single-handedly sway the outcome of matches and, given the right circumstances, can easily dominate and dictate the course of a game.

Initially, Suryakumar Yadav’s inclusion in the World Cup squad had raised several eyebrows, owing to his recent string of underwhelming performances in the ODI format. Nevertheless, the team management and selectors demonstrated their faith in him, a decision that paid dividends as the batsman delivered two exceptional performances in the initial two matches against Australia.

As Harbhajan Singh closely observed Suryakumar’s contributions during the ongoing one-day series against the Australian team, he issued a strong declaration, asserting that Suryakumar Yadav should be a permanent fixture in India’s playing XI throughout the entirety of the World Cup.

After that, the other players should be selected. He is a player who can win you games and completely change the complexion of a match. When he performs, he will turn the match into a one-sided one. There is no better player who can bat a batter strike rate.”

“Among finishers, we have Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja, but I feel Suryakumar Yadav should play at No. 5. He should play every World Cup match. No team has a better player than him,” the spinner added.
