Rahul played an unbeaten innings of 97 runs off 115 balls, while Kohli contributed with an impressive 85 runs off 116 balls. The duo formed a crucial partnership of 165 runs off 215 balls for the fourth wicket, rescuing India from a precarious 2-3 situation in just the second over of the innings. Thanks to their remarkable performance, India successfully chased down the 200-run target with 9.4 overs to spare.
In addition to Rahul and Kohli’s heroics, the Indian spin trio, consisting of Ravindra Jadeja, R Ashwin, and Kuldeep Yadav, played a significant role in India’s victory by limiting Australia to a mere total of 199 runs in 49.3 overs. Jadeja stood out with his exceptional bowling, taking three wickets while conceding only 28 runs, including two crucial wickets in the same over.
