In spite of India’s impressive six-wicket victory over Australia in their inaugural ODI World Cup 2023 encounter on Sunday, KL Rahul may be feeling a bit disappointed as he narrowly missed out on a century against Australia, concluding his innings unbeaten at 97* off 115 balls. With India requiring only five runs to secure the win, Rahul showcased his prowess by smashing a magnificent six over the covers to seal the game. India managed to comfortably win with 52 balls to spare.
Kl Rahul was seen being disappointed by sitting over knees when he hit the six on the last ball.

Kl Rahul in the post match presentation said “I hit it too well, I just calculated how to get to a 100 in the end. The only way for 4 and a six, but no qualms on not getting to that hundred.”
