Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson achieved his maiden international century during the third ODI against South Africa at Paarl’s Boland Park. Stepping in early after debutant Rajat Patidar’s departure at 22, Samson anchored one end on a challenging pitch.
Despite a slow beginning, he accelerated, reaching his half-century in 66 balls. Partnering with Tilak Varma, Samson gained confidence, contributing to a 116-run partnership for the Rajasthan Royals, consistently finding boundaries.
Following Varma’s dismissal, Samson intensified his scoring, completing his century in the 44th over, marking the milestone with a bicep flex.

Samson, rescuing India from an early setback, concluded with a score of 108 off 114 balls, featuring six fours and three sixes at a 94.74 strike rate.
