A Spectator In Lords Longroom Gets Into Argument With Usman Khawaja, After The Controversial Run Out.
Ashes 2023 2nd Test: The opening batsman of the Australian cricket team, Usman Khawaja, was involved in an altercation with a member in the Long Room following the first session of the ongoing second Ashes Test. The incident occurred after a controversial run-out decision by the umpire, which resulted in the dismissal of Jonny Bairstow.
As the teams were making their way towards the pavilion, Khawaja was stopped by a member in the Long Room who exchanged heated words with him. In response, Khawaja engaged in an argument, leading to security personnel intervening and separating the two parties involved.Interestingly, Khawaja’s teammate and fellow opener, David Warner, also found himself being escorted away by security amidst the dramatic turn of events in the Long Room.
Prior to the incident in the Long Room, there was a noticeable display of disapproval from the crowd at Lord’s Cricket Ground. Loud boos resonated across the venue, accompanied by chants of “Same old Aussies, always cheating” following Bairstow’s dismissal.
