Kohli, dismissed the article as “false” in an Instagram story where he shared a screenshot of the news piece.

While Kohli recently participated in the Test and ODI series held in West Indies, he did not take part in the five-match T20I series. A recent article in a daily publication claimed that in 2022, Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma, a well-known actor and producer, made an investment in an 8-acre parcel of land in Zirad village, Alibaug. The report suggested that the couple was intending to construct a farmhouse on this property.

Furthermore, the article asserted that the celebrity duo had expended more than ₹19 crore to acquire the land and had acquired all the necessary approvals for their project. The piece also contended that Kohli had a keen interest in having a cricket pitch on the premises.
