Bumrah, Iyer to make return for Asia Cup, BCCI Targeting Fast Rehab For Pant For World Cup.
Currently Indian Team is missing players alike Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant, and Shreyas Iyer who all rehabbing from injuries.
In a significant development for Team India, Rishabh Pant is expected to make a comeback and participate in the 2023 ODI World Cup, showcasing a remarkable recovery from his previous injury. ESPNcricinfo reports that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is pleasantly surprised by Pant’s progress and is keen to prepare him for the global event, which will be hosted in India.
However, the final decision regarding Pant’s participation will be made after consulting with medical professionals. Encouragingly, Pant has already started walking without crutches and has been able to climb stairs unaided.
In addition to Pant, there are also positive developments regarding the potential return of Jasprit Bumrah and Shreyas Iyer. Both players are undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy and are being closely monitored by the medical staff.
Bumrah, who last played in the home T20Is against Australia in September, and Iyer, who was part of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy before being sidelined due to a back injury, are working towards regaining their match fitness and potentially making their comebacks in the Asia Cup 2023.
