Captain Rohit Sharma trains hards in the nets for Cape Town 2nd Test after failing in Boxing Day Test.
Team India captain Rohit Sharma was observed engaging in rigorous training sessions in the nets, preparing earnestly for the upcoming second Test against South Africa in Cape Town. The first Test at SuperSport Park in Centurion resulted in a disappointing innings loss for the Indian team within three days.
Sharma, who faced a tough time in the batting department, scoring only 5 (14) and 0 (8) in both innings, is determined to bounce back. South African pace maestro Kagiso Rabada dismissed him on both occasions. With the second Test slated to begin on January 3 in Cape Town, Sharma recognizes the importance of this match to avoid a clean sweep.
Acknowledging his subpar performance in the previous week, Sharma chose to intensify his training in Centurion, focusing on adapting to the pace, bounce, and other conditions prevalent in South Africa.
