David Warner’s Partner Usman Khawaja Appreciates Him Ahead Of WTC Final.

With just two days remaining before the highly-anticipated World Test Championship (WTC) final between Australia and India, Usman Khawaja, an Australian batsman, expressed admiration for his opening partner, David Warner. The much-anticipated summit clash will take place at The Oval in London from June 7 to 12, marking Australia’s first appearance in the WTC final and India’s second consecutive appearance.

In recent times, Warner has struggled to find his best form, with his batting performances falling short of expectations. The last time he displayed his exceptional batting skills was when he scored a magnificent double-century in his 100th Test match against South Africa during the Boxing Day Test in 2022. However, even during the recent Border-Gavaskar Trophy in India, Warner failed to deliver impressive performances. Despite these challenges, the 36-year-old is determined to overcome his poor form and demonstrate his true abilities and experience in the upcoming prestigious event.

Khawaja said “Genuinely, this is the best I’ve seen Davey (Warner) bat in the nets the last couple days, it’s been awesome to watch. It’s as simple as just the way he’s moving; just the way he’s striking the ball,”. He further added “I’ve played a lot of cricket with him, and I’ve batted at the other end to him throughout my career – Test cricket or at state level – and you can just tell when he’s moving well,”
