Dream 11 Replaces BYJU’s To Become New Jersey Sponsor Of The Indian Cricket Team.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has recently announced that fantasy gaming platform Dream11 will serve as the lead sponsor for the Indian cricket team over the next three years. Dream11 will replace Ed-Tech company Byju’s, which had previously held the sponsorship position for an undisclosed amount of time. Following the conclusion of the last financial cycle, Byju’s decided to step down, opening up the opportunity for a new sponsor. During this period, Dream11 emerged as one of the prominent contenders in the bidding process conducted by the cricket governing body.

Starting with the Test series against the West Indies, which marks the Indian cricket team’s first assignment in the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle, Dream11’s branding will be prominently displayed on the jerseys of Team India. Regarding the sponsorship arrangement, it is important to note that the financial terms for bilateral fixtures, where the sponsor’s name is positioned in the middle of the shirt, differ significantly from those for ICC fixtures.
