“Firstly, I want everyone to be available 100 percent”, Rohit Sharma on winning ICC Tournament.

Similar to his predecessor Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Indian cricket team, has often faced questions regarding the team’s inability to clinch ICC events since 2013. India’s most recent disappointment occurred in the World Test Championship 2023 final, where they suffered a demoralizing 209-run defeat at the hands of Australia.Since taking over the captaincy, Rohit Sharma has witnessed India squander not just one, but two opportunities to secure an ICC title.

Prior to the World Test Championship final, India faltered in the semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2022, getting eliminated from the tournament after a crushing 10-wicket loss to eventual champions England. As the Indian team prepares for their first assignment in the WTC 2023-25 cycle, they are set to face West Indies in a two-match Test series.During a press conference held in Dominica ahead of the red-ball assignment, Captain Rohit Sharma responded candidly when asked about India’s failure to capture ICC titles over the past decade.

Rohit Sharma said “Firstly, I want everyone to be available. All my players, I want them to be available 100 percent. I don’t want any injury concerns. That’s first and foremost,”

Rohit Sharma expresses his belief that the Indian cricket team, has consistently displayed impressive performances on the field. However, despite their efforts, they have struggled to achieve victory in crucial matches. Rohit acknowledges the team’s commitment to continuous improvement and emphasizes the need to work harder in order to overcome this hurdle.

He more speaked more over “I feel that as long as you keep ticking the boxes, keep playing good cricket, things will fall into place. Overall the years, we have done a lot of good things. It’s just that sometimes you want luck to be on your side as well. Over last five-six years, we have probably won everywhere, but yes, winning championships are important as well. Until, we get that championship, we are going to keep fighting hard for it.”
