“Goosebumps; I’m quite lucky” – Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ruturaj Gaikwad talks the experience with MS Dhoni
Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad recently shared their memorable experiences and special moments with the legendary cricketer, MS Dhoni. Although Dhoni has retired from international cricket, these young players have had the opportunity to interact with him during their participation in the Indian Premier League (IPL).During IPL 2020, Jaiswal expressed his excitement upon seeing Dhoni for the first time, admitting that he had goosebumps. In a gesture of respect, the young player greeted the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper with a ‘Namaste.’ Meanwhile, Gaikwad, who is a part of the Chennai Super Kings franchise in the IPL, considers himself fortunate to spend 2-3 months each year in Dhoni’s company.The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently shared a heartwarming conversation between the two opening batsmen on its official page. This interaction took place prior to India’s first Test against West Indies in Dominica, scheduled to commence on July 12.
Jaiswal said “I don’t have a lot of words to say, as I was watching him from childhood and I said, ‘Namaste’sir, on my first interaction and got goosebumps, and it was a blessing to see him,”
Ruturaj said “I am very lucky and fortunate to spend time with him; actually, I see after the match that there are players who go to talk with him and are desperate to get knowledge from him, so I feel lucky in that perspective that I get to spend two-three months with him,”
