In the 48th match of IPL 2023, held at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Friday, Gujarat Titans emerged victorious over Rajasthan Royals by nine wickets. The Titans chased down a target of 119 runs with ease, reaching 119/1 in just 13.5 overs. The opening duo of Wriddhiman Saha and Hardik Pandya put up an impressive performance, with Saha scoring an unbeaten 41 runs off 34 balls and Pandya playing a quickfire unbeaten knock of 39 off just 15 deliveries.
Yuzvendra Chahal from the Rajasthan Royals managed to take one wicket, but that was not enough to stop the Titans’ charge. On the other hand, the Rajasthan Royals were bowled out for 118 runs in 17.5 overs, with only Sanju Samson making a notable impact. Samson, who is also the skipper of RR, scored 30 runs off 20 balls, including three fours and a six.
The Titans’ bowlers put up an impressive show, with Rashid Khan being in hot form and taking three wickets. Noor Ahmad also contributed significantly by scalping two dismissals, making it difficult for the Royals to build momentum during their innings.
