“Haris Rauf is arguably one of the better white ball bowlers going around in world cricket”, says Dinesh Karthik.

Experienced Indian wicketkeeper-batsman, Dinesh Karthik, has showered praise on Pakistani fast bowler Haris Rauf, hailing him as one of the finest white-ball bowlers. Haris Rauf has gained significant recognition since his emergence in 2020, thanks to his outstanding performances on the cricket field.

Currently representing Welsh Fire in ‘The Hundred’, Haris Rauf’s impressive display of bowling skills during the match against Southern Brave caught the attention of Dinesh Karthik. The Pakistani pacer scalped three wickets for just 27 runs in his 20 balls, showcasing his talent and potential on the field. Dinesh Karthik lauded his remarkable rise to fame, particularly during his stint with Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Dinesh Karthik said “Few years ago, he (Haris Rauf) was playing tennis ball cricket. Gets picked up by the (Lahore) Qalandars, becomes a part of their team, and academy and then goes on to play the league (Pakistan Super League) and then has obviously gone on to do so well for Pakistan. He is arguably one of the better white ball bowlers going around in world cricket now, especially at the death.” 

With a formidable record in international cricket, Haris Rauf has been an integral part of the Pakistan cricket team. In the 62 T20Is he has played, he has claimed 83 wickets, in 22 ODIs he has taken 39 wickets, and in his sole Test match, he secured 1 wicket, solidifying his status as an exceptional bowler in white-ball formats.
