“He is a nice guy”: Naveen-ul-Haq after ending the fight with Virat Kohli in the IND vs AFG World Cup match.

Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq appear to have resolved their differences, as they were observed cordially shaking hands and hugging during the 2023 World Cup match between India and Afghanistan in Delhi on October 11th.

Their earlier clash occurred during the 2023 Indian Premier League, but it seems both players have since moved past it. Naveen clarified that the dispute with Kohli was confined to the field and suggested that the media had exaggerated the incident.

Naveen-ul-Haq (to reporters) on hug said said “He is a nice guy, a good player, and we shook hands. It’s always in the ground; it was nothing outside the ground. People make it big. They need that stuff for their followers. He said we are done with that, and I said yes, we are done with it. We shook hands and hugged.”

In the wake of the altercation with Virat Kohli, Naveen-ul-Haq endured trolling and persistent ‘Kohli, Kohli’ chants. With the World Cup match being played at Kohli’s home ground in Delhi, it was anticipated that Naveen might face similar taunts from the crowd. However, Kohli intervened, urging the spectators to refrain from mocking Naveen.
