Heinrich Klaasen Gets Fined For Criticizing Umpires, After SRH VS LSG Match.
Heinrich Klaasen has been fined 10 percent of his match fee for violating the IPL Code of Conduct during match against LSG at Hyderabad. Klaasen under the Level 1 Offence, as outlined in Article 2.7 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct, which prohibits the use of public criticism or inappropriate comments.
During the 19th over a controversy erupted when an unfortunate incident took place between a group of spectators and LSG members near their dugout. The incident occurred after SRH’s appeal for a no-ball due to height was turned down by the umpire, even though it appeared that the ball had crossed over the waist of the batter, Abdul Samad.The decision left Heinrich Klaasen stunned, and he was seen conversing with the leg umpire. The game was interrupted for several minutes, resulting in both Klaasen and his batting partner, Abdul Samad, losing their momentum.
Klaasen remarked โDisappointed with the crowd. That’s not what you want at the venue. Very disappointed (because) that broke our momentum. Not a great umpiring decision being made there, but it’s part of the game,โ
