“I don’t have to change my game, I don’t like to change my aggressive batting”, says Prithvi Shaw
Prithvi Shaw finds himself in a challenging phase after a promising start to his career. However, the talented batsman remains determined to regain his spot in the national team by relying on his aggressive approach to scoring runs. Shaw’s last appearance for India was in a T20I match against Sri Lanka in July 2021 in Colombo.
Currently, Shaw is representing West Zone in the 2023 Duleep Trophy, where he believes he can exhibit a smarter approach to his game. The 23-year-old cricketer emphasized that his aggressive batting style has played a crucial role in shaping his identity as a player and that he has no intentions of altering it. It is worth noting that West Zone has advanced to the final of the Duleep Trophy and is set to face South Zone in a highly-anticipated clash starting on July 12th.
Prithiv Shaw said “Personally, I feel I don’t have to change my game, but a little smarter than what I am. I can’t bat like Pujara sir bats or Pujara sir can’t bat like me. So, what I am trying to do are those things that have brought me here till, for example, the aggressive batting, I don’t like to change that,”
