‘I Like That Everybody In The Ground Is Chanting Kohli’s Name’- Says Naveen Ul Haq

Naveen Ul Haq and Virat Kohli were engaged in a heated verbal exchange during LSG’s IPL 2023 match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Lucknow on May 1. Since then, the fast bowler has made several derogatory comments about the RCB star on his social media platforms, which has not been well received by Kohli’s fans. They have been mocking Naveen by chanting “Kohli, Kohli” during matches. This trend continued on Wednesday, May 24, during the Eliminator against Mumbai Indians (MI), as the crowd’s chants were audible while Naveen bowled. Interestingly, these interventions seemed to motivate the LSG pacer, as he celebrated by gesturing “shut out the noise” after taking crucial wickets.

Naveen in the press conference was asked about hearing chants regularly, Naveen said “I enjoy it (being taunted by crowd). I like that everybody in the ground is chanting his (Kohli’s) name, or any other player’s name. It gives me passion to play well for my team.”
