“I wasn’t sleeping” – Temba Bavuma denies on his viral image from2023 World Cup Captains Meet.
South African skipper, Temba Bavuma, has promptly addressed the viral photo from the 2023 World Cup Captains Meet held in Ahmedabad on October 4. Contrary to appearances in the photograph, Bavuma firmly asserted that he was not asleep during the event, attributing the misleading impression to an unfavorable camera angle.
The gathering witnessed the participation of all ten team captains engaging with journalists and broadcasters in preparation for the forthcoming 2023 World Cup. Temba Bavuma, entrusted with representing South Africa, was naturally a part of this assembly.
While the Captains Meet unfolded, a photograph depicting Bavuma seemingly asleep circulated widely across various social media platforms. Nevertheless, Bavuma swiftly refuted these claims, clarifying that he had not dozed off, and the photo’s perspective had created a misleading narrative.
Bavuma wrote “I blame the camera angle, I wasn’t sleeping,” Bavuma tweeted in response to The Barmy Army, who shared a photo of him sleeping.
Despite Bavuma’s denial, a considerable number of fans remained skeptical, still believing that the South African captain had indeed nodded off during the 2023 World Cup Captains Meet.
