“I would be keeping the faith with Rohit”:Michael Clarke Over Rohit Sharma’s Captaincy Future.

Former Australian captain Michael Clarke has expressed his support for Indian skipper Rohit Sharma to continue leading the team in the near future. Clarke’s endorsement follows criticism of Rohit’s leadership abilities following India’s resounding defeat against Australia in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final earlier this month.

India, having reached their second consecutive final in as many editions, suffered a 209-run loss to a formidable Australian side led by Pat Cummins at the Kennington Oval in London. Rohit’s strategies and decisions during the WTC final came under scrutiny from fans and experts alike. However, Clarke has come forward to back Rohit, emphasizing the importance of stability in preparation for the 2023 ODI World Cup.

Michael Clarke said “I would be keeping the faith with Rohit, he is a very good captain, like his aggressive approach, he looks to be positive as he can be and had lots of success with Mumbai Indians, just because India couldn’t win WTC, doesn’t mean Rohit is not the right guy to lead India”.
