ICC announce T20 World Cup 2024 schedule and fixtures.

The eagerly anticipated ninth edition of the T20 World Cup is set to commence on June 1, 2024, in the West Indies and the USA, with 20 teams vying for the prestigious trophy. Hosts USA will kick off the tournament against Canada, and the much-awaited India vs Pakistan clash is scheduled for June 9 in New York.

This edition introduces a revamped format, featuring four groups of five teams each. Group A, hosted by the USA, includes India, Pakistan, Ireland, and Canada. Defending champions England find themselves in Group B alongside Australia, Namibia, Scotland, and Oman. Co-hosts West Indies lead Group C with New Zealand, Afghanistan, Uganda, and Papua New Guinea. Group D comprises Asian rivals Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, along with South Africa, Netherlands, and Nepal, with matches hosted in both the West Indies and the US.

The top two teams from each group will progress to the Super Eights stage, divided into two groups of four based on pre-tournament seedings. Notably, teams are pre-assigned a group for the Super 8 stage. The highly anticipated India vs Pakistan fixture is scheduled for June 9 in New York, and the tournament final will take place on June 29th in Barbados. Semi-finals are set for June 26th in Guyana and June 27th in Trinidad.
