ICC bans Jarvo 69 from attending any of World Cup match after his interference in India Vs Australia match.
India and Australia faced off in Match 5 of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, on Sunday, October 08. In a crucial decision, the Australian captain won the toss and chose to bat first. While the match promised an exhilarating display of cricket on the field, there was an unexpected highlight for the spectators as the notorious pitch invader, Jarvo, made an appearance during India’s opening game in the World Cup.
Jarvo, hailing from England, gained notoriety after multiple pitch invasions during the England vs. India Test series in England back in 2021. Despite his previous encounters with security, Jarvo managed to infiltrate the playing area once more, eluding the vigilant ground staff. However, his antics were short-lived as security personnel swiftly apprehended him and removed him from the pitch. Notably, Star Indian batsman Virat Kohli was seen engaging in a brief conversation with Jarvo during his eviction.
Regrettably for Jarvo, this appearance marks the end of his World Cup escapades, as the International Cricket Council (ICC) has imposed a ban on him from participating in any future matches within the tournament. Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that Jarvo has a history of disrupting various sports events in the United Kingdom, leading to a lifelong ban from Headingley, Leeds.
