Jonny Bairstow gets frustrated on flight while traveling 38 hours to India for World Cup 2023.

England’s star wicketkeeper-batter, Jonny Bairstow, expressed his frustration with the team’s lengthy journey to India for the highly anticipated ICC Cricket World Cup, which lasted over 38 hours. The side, led by Jos Buttler, commenced their journey on Wednesday in preparation for the prestigious tournament.

Despite departing from England more than 38 hours ago, Bairstow took to his official social media account to voice his dissatisfaction with the fact that the team was still on the plane.

The 34-year-old shared a photo of the England squad and its members on his Instagram story. Alongside the image, he described the journey as “utter chaos” and humorously added, “Last leg incoming… been some trip,” concluding with a laughing face emoji. This message was posted at 21:21 local time, and he followed it with, “38 hours and counting…” Nevertheless, England finally arrived in India this morning on September 29.

England is scheduled to participate in two warm-up matches against India and Bangladesh on September 30 and October 2, respectively, both to be held at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati. The defending champions will officially kick off their World Cup campaign with a match against New Zealand on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, setting the stage for a rematch of the 2019 World Cup final.
