Justin Langer says “Dropping the left-handed match-winner would be far too disruptive” over selection of David Warner for the upcoming Ashes Test.

Former Australian opener and head coach Justin Langer has expressed his belief that Australia should not exclude David Warner from the lineup for the upcoming fourth Ashes Test at Old Trafford, Manchester, commencing on July 19. Langer has emphasized that dropping Warner solely due to his recent poor form would be an impulsive decision that is unnecessary at this juncture.

Justin Langer to Telegraph wrote “The Australian selectors have shown their hand and would be wary of making a change for this huge Ashes Test match in Manchester. They stuck with him after Australiaโ€™s first two wins and must trust their instincts again. Despite Warnerโ€™s obvious discomfort with Stuart Broad, dropping the left-handed match-winner would be far too disruptive.”

Moreover he wrote “Dropping him in the middle of an Ashes series would cause too much drama. The commotion that would accompany such a decision would be an unwelcome distraction in the changing room. Selectors George Bailey and Tony Dodemaide are calm heads, they are not gamblers.
