“Meri ek taang nakli hai” – Suryakumar Yadav shares a funny reel after suffering a ankle injury.

Star Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav is set to be sidelined from action until February 2024 due to a Grade-II ankle tear. The setback occurred while he was leading the T20I side in South Africa, where he twisted his ankle during the third game at New Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg. Currently, Suryakumar is on vacation with his wife, Devisha Shetty, in London, and he was recently spotted wearing a pneumatic walker boot on his left ankle.

In a video that surfaced, the Mumbai-born batter was seen taking light steps with the aid of a walking stick. Despite the challenging situation, he managed to uplift the spirits of his fans by drawing a humorous comparison with the famous character ‘Ballu’ from the Bollywood movie ‘Welcome.’ In the movie, Ballu pretends to have a leg injury, complete with a fake story behind it.

The 33-year-old cricketer shared this light-hearted video on his Instagram handle, captioning “On a slightly serious note, injuries are never fun, but I’ll take it in my stride and promise to be back, fully fit, in no time! 💪 Till then, hope you all are enjoying the holiday season and finding little joys, every day. 🤗 ✨,”
