Ali was found to have breached Article 2.20 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which pertains to exhibiting conduct that goes against the spirit of the game.

Furthermore, Ali has been issued one demerit point, which marks his first offense within a 24-month period, as recorded by his disciplinary history.
