Mumbai Indians Defeats Gujarat Titans By 27 Runs, Rashid Khan Efforts Go In Vain.

The Mumbai Indians continued their winning streak in the IPL 2023 with a convincing victory over the Gujarat Titans at the Wankhede Stadium on Friday. Mumbai batted first and posted a mammoth total of 218/5, with Suryakumar Yadav leading the charge. Yadav played a blistering innings of 103* off just 49 balls, smashing eleven boundaries and six maximums at a strike rate of 210.20.In response, the Gujarat Titans got off to a terrible start, losing their top three batsmen – Wriddhiman Saha, Hardik Pandya, and Shubman Gill – within the powerplay. Vijay Shankar was dismissed by Piyush Chawla in the first ball after the powerplay, and Gujarat kept losing wickets at regular intervals, falling behind in the run chase.However, Rashid Khan provided some respite for the Gujarat Titans with a brilliant unbeaten knock of 79 off just 32 balls, including three boundaries and ten maximums. But despite his heroics, the Titans were restricted to 191/8 in their 20 overs.Rashid Khan also had an excellent outing with the ball, taking four out of the five wickets that Mumbai lost and conceding just 30 runs in his four overs.
