Star New Zealand all-rounder Michael Bracewell has suffered a significant injury to his right Achilles tendon, resulting in an estimated six to eight months of recovery time. Bracewell sustained this injury while batting for Worcestershire Rapids during a match against Yorkshire in Leeds on June 9 in the English T20 Blast. To address the injury, the 32-year-old player will undergo surgery in the United Kingdom on Thursday, June 15. Following the surgery, Bracewell will begin a comprehensive rehabilitation program spanning several months. Unfortunately, this rehabilitation process will likely cause him to miss the upcoming ODI World Cup, which is scheduled to take place in India from October to November.
