“Pakistan can still win Test series against Australia in Australia”: Mohammad Hafeez after Pakistan humiliating loss of 360-run at Perth.

Mohammad Hafeez is optimistic about Pakistan’s potential to bounce back and secure victories in the remaining two Test matches against Australia. His comments come in the wake of the Shan Masood-led team’s defeat by 360 runs in the first Test held in Perth.Expressing his views as Pakistan’s head coach in the ongoing series, Hafeez acknowledged the team’s failure to execute pre-game plans, resulting in their disappointing performance. The 43-year-old, who represented Pakistan in 55 Tests between 2003 and 2018, highlighted tactical errors that contributed to their defeat on Sunday.

Looking ahead, Hafeez emphasized the need for the team to learn from their mistakes and make strategic adjustments for the upcoming matches.

Pakistan Cricket Director Hafeez said “The players are talented and I have seen what they are capable of during net sessions over here. They can beat Australia in Australia. We couldn’t follow our plans but I still believe my players. Pakistan can win the series in Australia but we will have to be absolute sure about the implementation of our plans.“We came up with plans for Australia but failed to play accordingly. There were times when we could have put Australia on the back foot goot. We prepared hard for the game, but our execution was not right.”

Despite the challenging history of Pakistan, which has seen them lose all 15 Test matches in Australia since 1995, Hafeez remains positive about their potential turnaround.
