Ravindra Jadeja doubtful for 2nd IND vs ENG Test as sufferes a hamstring injury.

In the recent Test series opener against England in Hyderabad on January 28, Team India’s Ravindra Jadeja, the ace all-rounder, was unfortunately run out after scoring just two runs. England’s skipper, Ben Stokes, showcased his brilliance on the field, executing the run-out that put his team in a commanding position for the fourth innings.

Following the dismissal, Jadeja was observed clutching his hamstring, raising concerns about his fitness. As per a report by TOI, Jadeja’s participation in the upcoming second Test of the series is uncertain due to the injury scare. The second match is scheduled to take place at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam from February 02 to 06.

In the Hyderabad Test, Jadeja demonstrated his prowess by securing five wickets across two innings and making a significant contribution with the bat, scoring 87 runs in India’s first innings.

Despite his efforts, India suffered a disappointing 28-run defeat in the first Test, falling short of the 231-run target set by England. Tom Hartley’s impressive seven-wicket haul restricted the hosts to 202 in their chase on Day 4. Ollie Pope’s exceptional 196-run performance earned him the Player of the Match award.
