RCB Rattles Rajasthan Royals, Improves Run Rate For Playoffs Race.
Royal Challengers Bangalore registered a thumping 112-run victory over Rajasthan Royals. RCB batted first and scored 171/5 in their allotted 20 overs. Faf du Plessis (55 off 44 balls) and Glenn Maxwell (54 off 33 deliveries) scored half-centuries and propelled their team to a competitive total. Adam Zampa and KM Asif were the pick of the bowlers for RR, taking two wickets each.
In response, RR were off to a disastrous start, losing wickets at regular intervals. Wayne Parnell starred with the ball for RCB, taking three wickets, while Michael Bracewell and Karn Sharma scalped two dismissals each. Shimron Hetmyer was the only batsman who showed some resistance, top-scoring with 35 runs off 19 balls. However, the rest of the RR batsmen failed to get going, and the team was bowled out for a paltry 59 in just 10.3 overs.
